Libra, the Scales – hen weekend horoscope
September 23rd – October 22nd
Air sign

Librans, represented by the scales, seek balance and harmony in all areas of their lives. Their characteristics are fairness, diplomacy, charm and idealism, they always try to do things to the best of their ability; they are often perfectionists. They are also romantic, kind, easygoing, peaceable and ethical. Librans tend to be creative; they enjoy the finer things in life and have an insatiable curiosity. Libran hens are great fun to be with, they are very sociable and enjoy doing things as part of a group; as a consequence they have loads of friends, to whom they are loyal and caring. Libras are famously indecisive, seeing both sides to everything so you may have to push her to decide what she really wants from her hen weekend!

Destinations:
Choose destinations where she can combine the buzz of city life with relaxing countryside, or the calm of the coast by day with a busy active nightlife. Suggested UK destinations are Bath, Cheltenham, Chester, York and Brighton. Or further afield try Dublin, Malaga Lisbon or Vienna.

Day activities:
Sports and physical activity are not high on her 'must do' list, but she likes to be out enjoying nature so she might go punting, take a hot air balloon ride or play golf or tennis. You might just persuade her onto a high ropes course or to try circus skills. If you're splashing out try hiring a luxury yacht for the day. What she does enjoy is fashion and shopping, so a girlie shopping trip or a fashion show followed by afternoon tea at a posh hotel are right up her street. Another love is perfume so think about a perfume course or at least an aromatherapy session.

Evening activities:
Her evening should include dancing or singing; a club with good music would be fine or try belly dancing, salsa, karaoke or a concert with her favourite band. If you're in the right location a beach party and BBQ is another idea that will go down well.

Eating style:
Librans love food with a mix of flavours and textures: sweet and sour, soft and crunchy, hot and cold; crepes, pizza, Chinese or Greek metze would be good choices. They are are also as interested in the restaurant as the food; it needs to be somewhere with stylish decor as well as good food and an excellent desert menu – Libra has a sweet tooth!

Drinking style:
She'll enjoy combining shots, gin in particular, with mixers of all types. Also blended wines that combine the flavours of two or more grapes. Libra rules the kidneys and to keep them working well Librans should drink plenty of water with their chosen tipple.

Hen night dress and themes:
Librans loves clothes and usually have a great sense of style. Her colours are blue, pale greens, pinks and pastels. If you choose a theme for the hen night, make it one with taste and a bit of style, she enjoys an elegant, feminine look so try 'cleb', bond girls, or a raunchy bo-peep look. Or – to appeal to her sense of justice and fair play! – try police women, sexy judges or fluffy handcuffs!

Hens on the cusp:
If your hen was born on the cusp of two signs (i.e. a day or so either side of the start and end dates) then she may be influenced by a mix of both signs; if that's the case then read the suggestions for both signs – move on to Scorpio or back to Virgo.
