Free Spirit Spheres offer another amazing take on treetop lodgings, stay high in the trees in a hand crafted wooden sphere suspended from a web of ropes in the tall trees of the West Coast rainforest on Vancouver Island in Western Canada. Three of these beautiful little pods are available as accommodation for overnight rental, try Eve, Eryn or Melody.
The spheres were inspired by the design of yachts and the pods sway gently in the winds in a similar way to a boat. The pods are accessed by spiral stairways and bridges.
USA: Out'n'About treehouse B&B in Takilma, Oregon
How about an entire resort in the trees? A 'treesort' in fact! The Out'n'About Treesort is rather unique place, it has now gained the required local permits to be a legal bed and breakfast, but that was not always the case and the story of how the place developed and the fight to gain legal recognition is well worth reading!
There are a choice of treehouses available for rent on a bed and breakfast basis, these sleep either two or four guests and come in all sorts of shapes styles and designs. Some have their own bathrooms, while others share central amenities. There are several other treehouses on-site that are not yet licensed as overnight B&B accommodation, but the owners are working on that!
And if lodging in the trees isn't quite enough for you the resort also runs a zipline business on the same site, offering a range of exhilarating zipline adventures through the trees!
